Denae Crawford is a trained foster parent in the State of Georgia, certified in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and a certified instructor for Advanced Parenting for Challenging Children.
Denae has parented infants and toddlers through the foster care system, focusing deliberately on healthy brain and emotional attachment development, and healing preexisting trauma. She has been on the Intervention Team for several Healing Hearts Camps through Families by Design to help families learn to implement Nancy Thomas’ parenting techniques in their own homes. Denae also works as a Special Ops Nanny to help parents continue to implement what they learned at camp. From 2009-2012, Denae experienced living in an environment where these parenting techniques were used daily with children with RAD, ODD, PTSD, ADHD, and developmental delays. She has skills and is ready to share them!
