Kim and wife Diane are adoptive parents of five. Kim has been in the human service arena in various capacities for over 25 years working with a myriad of severely emotionally disturbed children and their families. He has fostered over 40 troubled teenage boys since 1994. Kim has served on the National Foster Parent Association Board of directors for five years, as well as on state and local boards. Also, Kim is an Advisory Board member of Fostering Families TODAY magazine for which he is also a guest columnist. Kim also writes for other national and local publications. His passion is teaching parents how to successfully negotiate challenging behaviors leading children to healthy adulthood. Kim and his family reside in Central Iowa.
